It's a great honor to announce that I have officially been elected to serve as the incoming President-Elect of the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS for 2026.

At a time when the real estate industry is experiencing changes and challenges, I am looking forward to bringing my experience, skills and ideas to the table to enable HGAR to be a pioneer in the journey ahead. 2026 will be great year for HGAR and for real estate, and I plan on supporting 2026 President Rey Hollingsworth-Falu in his leading of the association.
5 years ago, I graduated from HGAR's maiden voyage of their Leadership Accelerator Program. That program was a pivotal moment that altered the course of my life and career permanently. It provided me with the skills not only to lead in the association, but also in my business and personal life. Since then, I assisted in the creation and establishment of HGAR's first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and chaired that committee for two years from its inception. I've also served as chair of the Young Professionals Network Committee, and the Fair Housing Committee, as well as involvement in almost every (if not literally every) committee at HGAR. Most recently this year, I received my instructors license to teach real estate, and while I'll never be as stellar of a teacher as my actual teacher with a master's degree husband (hi, Brian), I will use the opportunity to uplift others to succeed in their businesses as much as I can.
At a spry 32 years old, I've spent 11 years working in this industry, that's a third of my entire life dedicated to real estate. From solo agent, to team lead and now to a broker/owner of my own independent brokerage, this is the only true career I've ever known, and I feel honored to be a part of this industry. Through that journey, I've learned quite a lot about our industry, and I believe it's important to address and discuss our successes, as well as the struggles we still face. Real estate is an industry that has unfortunately been plagued by economic inequality, racism, and predatory practices against marginalized groups of people. The process of becoming a homeowner is not an easy one, and there still exist systematic roadblocks that inhibit the building of generational wealth - as well as a current affordability crisis that restricts access to housing. As a leader, I see it as my job to help correct the issues that I can in my own business and strive to create change on a local and national level.
The future is bright for HGAR, where the goal of the association will always be to empower it's members to grow, lead, and succeed in their communities.
Here's to a great year together,

Anthony Ruperto
